We inform you that the Third National Conference on Theoretical Physics (3NCTP) will take place in the interval June, 10-13, 2008. This event is dedicated to the centenary of Serban Titeica (1908-1985), the founder of theoretical physics in Romania.

The conference will be preceded by a meeting paying homage to the memory of Serban Titeica. This meeting will be held in Bucharest , in the Aula Magna of the Romanian Academy , on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The conference will take place in Busteni, at the Hotel "Alexandros" [ website ].
It will start on Tuesday, June 10, at 9 am, and end on Friday, June 13, at 7 pm.

The organizing institutions are the Romanian Academy (AR), the University of Bucharest (UB) and the Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH). The Advisory Committee of the conference:

Accommodation and financial aspects

Participation fee: 400 Lei
No participation fee for accompanying persons.
Accommodation for the duration of the Conference - full board and lodging (1 bed in a double room): 800 Lei

Romanian Visa Formalities

An entry visa in Romania is not required for citizens of the European Union, USA and some other countries. Please check with the nearest Romanian Consulate or at www.mae.ro whether or not you need a visa to enter Romania.

A 2^nd Announcement will be mailed to the participants, a few weeks before the Conference. It will contain detailed information about the Conference programme, how to reach the Conference site (transportation from the Otopeni airport to Bucharest or Busteni railway station), social events, a.s.o.
